Absylom Rising has announced plans for a winter/spring tour in February and March of 2009 that will take the band to uncharted territory, both musical and geographical. Last night was awesome! Jeremy Ward of Good Paper made the trip to Huntsville with the band and sat in on percussion for the entire show, featuring multiple drum jams and a monster 2+ hour second set. It was the last show of the year for Absylom Rising, and a great way to wrap up 2007. Thanks to everyone in attendance. See ya next year!

Under The Radar, the new CD from Absylom Rising, is one step closer to completion. John Darnell and recorded in the same Muscle Shoals studio that has hosted countless icons (Dwayne Allman, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin, to name a few), this is AR's first legitimate studio album. Though originally scheduled for a mid-summer release, it looks like it will be mid-fall. "The most important thing is not when it comes out," said guitarist Heath Mahan, "The most important thing to me is that it's the best thing we've ever done." The official release date and pre-order information will be announced here within the coming month.
